No, coaching is not a replacement for clinical therapy. You will not receive any diagnoses or medical advice. If need for clinical support is exhibited during consultation, you will be referred to a clinical practitioner. inclusivetherapists.com is a wonderful resource for affirming, clinical providers.

I recommend journaling, or having some form of consistent reflection practice during our work together to gain the maximum benefit. We will identify homework/opportunities for reflection at the end of each session.
You will get out of this practice what you put in, so if you choose not to engage in the homework, it will reflect in your progress.

If you are ready to challenge limiting beliefs, cultivate a more intimate, loving relationship with yourself, and understand yourself with more depth, this may be the work for you. This work is client-led, and it requires personal commitment and willingness to self-reflect and explore accountability. We can explore blockages together, but it is up to you to determine if you are ready to do the work.

Our first session will explore goals, blockages, and what is currently important and impactful in your world. Subsequent sessions will balance a client-led approach, making room for you to share recent events, with a continued return to your goals to ensure you are receiving the support necessary for desired progress.

I balance a therapeutic approach that makes room for emotional processing and care, while also maintaining a goal-oriented, progressive nature towards the work. I acknowledge environmental and social factors affecting clients, while also challenging them to remain accountable to their goals and to acknowledge their opportunities for making aligned choices. I hold space to name and grieve the impacts of capitalism, colonialism, and imperialism, while simultaneously creating a container to center indigenous belief and decolonial existence. This practice is where wellness and world-building meet.

Yes, I do work with couples. As Mirrored Wellness focuses on the nature of relationship and deepening into it, I support couples in assessing alignment, strengthening their relationships with themselves individually, and turning towards each other in a way that affirms both the individual and the collective.

As a Black, queer wellness practitioner, it is paramount to me that all racial, sexual, and gender identities are seen, respected and honored in their journey towards care. I offer affirming care to all identities. With this being said, cultural competency is of great importance, and we will explore together in consultation if I can provide the most aligned mirror for you.

No. As a coach, I am not permitted to accept insurance.
If you are seeking to pay with insurance, working with a licensed therapist is a better suited choice.

Accessibility is what our work was founded on, and we aim to maintain that tenet of care as we move forward.
We do not currently have reduced rate or sliding scale options, but we are building a care fund for community members who cannot afford our services. We invite you to send us a message stating your need using our contact form, so that we may reach out to you as soon as reduced rates are available.
